How to add a paragraph with specified style to master text frame

      Hi guys,

      How can i add a paragraph with an specified paragraph style to a text frame (all paragraph styles are pre-defined, and i have a master text frame)?

      I have a large quantity of information (a catalogue) and i can generate from php a jsx file (a very large one :()
      I want to be able to run this file and to generate a 400+ pages

      The structure:

      Author name [1 line of text – author_name paragraph style]
      Author date of birth – Author date of death [1 line of text – yobyod paragraph style]
      Transactions [multi line paragraph – transactions paragraph style]

      Can you help me?
      Im using InDesign CS4

      Have you looked at InDesign Tagged Text files? I use these in database-generated text with CS3. Simplest way is to create one element of the structure in InDesign, save as tagged text, and work out from there what tags you need to surround the text coming out of your data source.

      There may well be an alternative way of accomplishing the same result with XML, but I'll leave that to an expert.

      By the way, I'm not sure the thread title really reflects what you want to do, which might be why there are so few replies so far.
