      I have a document in CS4

I have placed two eps files on it, the client made some changes and supplied a new file. I overwrote the original eps files they had the same name. When it came to updating the links one came in at 98% and the other at 99%.

Can anyone explain why this may have happened?

Remembering the files are the same as the original supplied eps's but with just a text correction on them.

      Thanks

It depends mostly on the program that created the EPS. The key is the listing inside the EPS file of the BoundingBox (usually listed near the top of the file; try opening it with a text editor to see). If that number changes, ID may resize the file on relinking.

If you don't want an image to resize when you relink it, turn off (in the File Handling pane of the Preferences dialog box) the Preserve Image Dimensions When Relinking checkbox.
