      Hi everyone.

Before Christmas I was working on a small document in IDCS5, and exporting it to pdf for the client to view. No problems.

During the Christmas period I upgraded my system to a 64bit operating system (I don't know if this is a problem – I doubt it) but I've just carried out a few adjustments (used ID for the first time since the upgrade), exported again and all the text that has been laid out in ID (and that looks fine in ID) has jaggy edges in the PDF when viewed in Acrobat Pro and Reader X. As I say, this wasn't an issue before.

The fonts are the same fonts.

It also doesn't matter which PDF Preset I export with, the text is always grainy.

Another thing, you know how sometimes you'll see white fine lines around text and images – artifacts: https://creativepro.com/for…..p;search=1

… well these are all over the place when exporting out to pdf x1a and x3, but not X4, High Quality or Press Quality. The text, as I say is grainy when exported with any of the presets.

      Many thanks.

Sounds like an Acrobat problem. I would check the Page Display pane of the Acrobat preferences dialog box. Weird.
