Changing the order of separations?

For a screenprint with spot colors I was asked to make a pdf with separations by making a .ps file and running it trough distiller.
This all works fine, but I cannot find a way to change the order of my color separations.
I can change the order of the swatches in indesign itself, but not that of the separations, and I would like them to appear in the desired order of printing in the pdf, which is not the case right now. Is this possible, or if not, what determines the order of the separations?

      Thanks!

I don't think there is any way to control the order of the seps. You could print one plate at a time (using the Output pane of the Print dialog box) and then create PDF files of each and then merge them into a single pdf (if you really need them as one pdf file).

Ah, good to hear there is no way to control it in InDesign, now I can stop looking for it.
I tried the merging files-method, and while I was doing that, I realized I could just have changed the order of the pages in my original pdf!
      Thanks for the simple solution!
