Don't Package Unused Master Page Links

Hello. Is there anyway to keep linked images on unused master pages from being packaged? I have seven master pages with two images each (I swap the masters out for different layouts). But whenever I package, even the unused master page linked images appear in the Links folder. I unchecked “Include Fonts and Links From Hidden and Non-Printing Content” in the Create Package Folder dialogue during the packaging process, but no luck.

I don't want to delete the unused master pages – so I can have them handy if I need to swap out a page layout.

I've received a suggestion to set the image layers to non-printing, but that seems like quite a process to do and keep track of. Any thoughts?

      I can't recall this issue coming up before in CS2, 3, 4, but maybe I'm wrong? I'm in CS5 on OSX 10.6.5.

      Thanks.

I can't think of any good way to do that. Sorry. But you could delete the master pages, then package, then undo the deletion, right?

Ah….yes! That's a good idea. Thanks so much.
