      Hi, alll

recently i am working on poster containing a tables. i want the tables color fill to be 50% opacity, and text and stroke fill is 100%. But when i applied transeperncy effects 50% to the table, the all table (text, color, stroke) go to 50% opacity.

I there away to solve this issue? i can work around to solve this problem, by copy two version of the same table: one for text and stroke, one for color. I need a simple solution to this problem because i want to apply table and cell styles to repeat tables on the other posters.

      Thanks.

I don't think at this time you can set transparencies for table fills & strokes. The table seems to be handled as any other text inside a frame, while you can, if a single background color is all you're using, fill the frame (rather than the cells) with a color and adjust the opacity of that. It still won't let you set the table's stroke opacity but it's a start.

The only solution I've ever been able to come up with this is to anchor a text frame in the text and then Cut the table and place in the anchored frame.

You then set the the Table Fill to NONE

And then the FILL of the Text Frame to what you want. Then in the Effects for the Anchored Frame change the opacity to whatever is needed in the FILL.
