Hi. I'm using ID CS5 on a brand new core two duo machine, 4gb ram, Win 7, and have found that resizing text frames (when they have text in them) is an arduous task – it is not responding straight away, kind of sluggish.

Having read some forums and blogs, I've switched off the Live Screen Drawing under Preferences -> Interface, and though 'Delayed' is better than 'Immediate', it's nowhere near as responsive as CS4 was on an old pentium 4, 2gb, Win XP machine.

Are there any solutions to this issue, or will I be issuing a bug post to Adobe.

      Thanks.

I believe there were some performance issues addressed with the 7.0.3 update. If you haven't already, make sure you install that.

Thanks Bob. I'm all up to date but the problem persists. However, I've switched off show thumbnails in the pages panel, set the live screen drawing in preferences to delayed and this has improved performance, but it is still sluggish and no way as responsive as CS4.
