When I try to fit the graphic frame to the content when the content is rotated, the frame cuts off the image in an odd way. CS4 did not have this problem. Is this a general problem or is there something wrong with my software?

Can you provide more information, or a screen capture? I don't know of any specific problem with that. Possible that Auto Fit is turned on?

Here it comes (autofit is not turned on):

I uploaded the images to my website and included the link when I inserted the images. I hope you can view them (I'm not exactly the most experienced forum user, please let me know how to get you the images if you cannot view them)

      I place an image:

      first image

      Than I rotate the content:

      second image

Because of the rotation, part of the image is masked:

      third image

Then I choose “fit frame to content” and this is the result:

      fourth image

      fifth image

In CS4 the frame would include all of the image….

      Thanks!

I fixed your images. You needed to add the .png at the end of each URL.

Anyway, this is very interesting. I think it IS a bug. If it's not a bug, it's a strange feature.

Basically, it appears that the “fit frame to content” feature creates a new rectangle that is the smallest rectangle that fits inside the image bounding box. So yes, if the image is rotated by something other than 90° increments, then the result is a too-small frame!

David, Sorry about leaving out the extensions.

I have posted this with the Adobe form as well. Let's hope it can be fixed. It's not critical, but still rather inconvenient.

      Thanks for your replies!
