I don't know if anyone uses easy catalog, if so, please help me. :)

I got this table in excel saved as a cvs-file, and it has to be linked with indesign.

Now the problem is that the first column contains productnumbers and next to is width/height table. Underneath it is a space and then the next one etc. Now the problem with easycatalog is that it won't place my table because it says that there are duplicate-keys, but every product number is different. I think maybe its the white space between them, but i don't know how to fix it.

Plz help :) I included an example of the table to give you an idea of what i'm saying :).

Wouldn't it be easiest to add a new column in Excel and designate it a 'unique key' field? (I faintly remember something like that ought to be possible.)

      Nice! It worked! :)

Now I have another question :). Is it possible to just continue importing the data, and that indesign goes autmatically to the next page? Or do i have to copy the table and the importing the data for the second page etc? It would be awesome if it just could be done automatically, i've done the formatting for the table manually, and i just have one character style for the data.

thx! (really learing a lot here!)

Tables run onto the next frame (= page, usually) just like normal text does. So if you import a large number of rows and place it into one frame, you'll get the red “There Is More” plus marker at the bottom right of the frame, and you can add pages and have the text flow continue in the usual way.

Yes but the thing is that i need the exact same table on every page and I don't know if Indesign knows that when I click the plus sign, he has to place the exact same table onto the next page? Or am i not making sense? :)

Edit: Found it :p, easy catalog is epic!
