Am I correct that the Transparency icon no longer shows up by default in the Pages panel? This was on in CS4 and earlier, yes? But now, there is no icon appearing…

(To get the icon, you you need to choose Panel Options in the Pages panel menu, then turn on the Transparency icon.)

If this is correct, the change is likely worth a blog post or mention in the podcast.

It seems to be off by default.

The usual: close all documents, switch on in Pages Panel menu/Panel Options, there you go.

      Odd choice, Adobe.

I forgot to add: the Pages panel display options are exactly those of CS4, but of course that has the Transparency Icon on by default.

I wonder why this is off by default? What a weird thing. I just checked my Pages Panel and it's turned on. So I must have turned it on at some point. It's on for all new documents. When I first opened InDesign I did a quick pass through all the settings, I must have changed it when I set the Pages Panel to not show vertically.
