Well with all the fuss over being able to resize pages I thought I'd give it a go.
So I noticed the little Page resize icon on the bottom of the pages panel – I hadn't seen anyone in any post or video use this. So I gave it a go. You can select a plethora of page sizes.
But what caught my eye was Custom Page Size. This presented a Dialog Box and I can enter a name for it. So I entered fold and changed the width to 60 leaving the height.
Low and behold that Custom Page size is now available in a “Page Size Style” for me to use.
The only issue or thing that bugs me is that Custom Page Sizes you build for New Documents don't become available in the Custom Page Size dialog box. Which isn't a big deal – but would have been nice.
The other thing is that you can use the Fold page size in as many new documents as you want, it's there. And if you change the size of your Fold page size it only changes the size in the document you are working in, so the other documents remain untouched and your fold page size remains the same.
So Custom Page sizes are awesome – I'm sure I'll have plenty of usage for this!
One such use is that I could make a 3 page spread for a cover – then I can make a Custom Page Size for the Spine and call it “Spine”.
Then for each document I can just adjust the Spine Custom Page size through the Dialog Box.
I'm sure it will have other uses.
