I have a PC, use Windows 7, Indesign CS4 and Adobe Reader 9.02. I use InDesign to create PDF photography books, and so I use text, objects and images. Recently I exported a 20-page document to Adobe Reader and the first 18 pages moved the background up to the front, hiding all the images and text, which were correctly exported, but under the background, Oddly, the last two pages were just fine and all the buttons and links also work just fine–the only problem is that you can't see the images. Everything looks great in InDesign. Any idea what I might have done wrong?

Do any of these pages have items on their Master page that span two pages?

No. Each page has a photo and navigation bar. It is linked via the nav bar to other pages, but no page runs over. I'm wondering if its some kind of error since two of the pages are fine.

PS: Maybe I'm not sure what you mean by span over. The two pages that work have different master pages, so maybe you're on to something. The master page that is having trouble, though, is pretty simple: a nav bar and background filling in the space above it.
