Importing pages from an indd file with data merge

      I thought of asking this question here too – more chances to find an expert here than on adobe's forums… :D

      So if you want to import a bunch of jpg with data merge… is simple – you just have to have the txt file with that list of file names. Like “flower.jpg”.

      I need to import a bunch of pages fron an indd file with data merge. How do I say to indesign to import the fifth page from flower.indd? I tried with “flower.indd:5” just lke the links panel would show me if I import it manually… It didn't work.

      Any ideas?

      Sorry, no ideas here. I doubt that is possible. You may have to break up those INDD files into individual single-page files or PDFs or something (perhaps with Batch Export or Page Exporter Utilty) and then import those instead.
