Ok I'm getting pretty tired of adjusting spine widths.
Currently I create a document, say A4 for example, and it's 210 + 210 + Spine Width
Margins = 2, Gutter Width 10mm (for example)
Then when the Spine Width needs to be adjusted, I have to Document Setup – Change the width to suit, so it would 435mm instead of 430. But after this there is no way to Adjust the Margins and Columns via the Document Setup (note you can set this up in File>New Document – but alas it's not available in Document setup)
So then I have to go to Layout>Margins and Columns. Adjust the Column width – so I can guides for the spine.
So after this I then have to adjust the contents on the Front Cover and Back Cover, IBC and IFC.
Would there be any script out there or anyone willing to attempt it basically I imagine this:
Run Script
Insert Page dimension (say A4 or any dimensions)
Insert Spine Width
(the script then creates the 2 column layout with the Spine Width set for the Column Gutter.
If the page needs to be adjusted
Run the script
Insert New Spine Width
(script somehow resizes the document to suit)
Objects Left of the spine move the required distance
Objects Right of the Spine move the required distance
Objects in the center of the spine stay put.
