I seem to remember that when I posted a comment to InDesign Secrets (not here in the forum but on the main site) I had a certain amount of time in which to go back and edit my post (eg., deleting the typos that could embarrass me in front of those who know me). I don’t seem to have that facility any more. Or did I imagine it? Cry

I moved this to The Pub, as it was more about the site than InDesign itself.

This a curious thing. I haven't noticed that change, but I think you are correct. Do you see any kind of Edit link next to the comment?

      I'll look into it!

I still have the editing feature, so I'm not sure. Are you sure you somehow weren't logged out, Furry?

I know I have to log back-in about once a week or so, or sometimes a half hour after I've posted.

I can no longer edit comments in the blog part of the site.

I wonder if it's because my Username for the forum is different than my username for the comments?

Yes, I noticed that happened to me as well. I liked that option. What gives?

Gee, I’m glad I wasn’t imagining it! Laugh

No, docbud, I wasn’t logged out. That is one of the first things I check every time I come to the IDS site.

      Different but similar query . . .

When I post to a forum, in the left column it records the post as having been posted at whatever time it is for me locally. This post, for instance, will be posted a few minutes after midday, local time here on the east coast of Australia. However, if I look at my just-posted post and decide I want to edit it (dyslectic fingers are common!), then the edit seems to be timed according to some time zone in the US. It looks as if I have made the edit many hours after the initial post rather than a few miniutes after.

      Confused

Actually, I now notice that the time of post is eleven hours behind my local time. But what about the time of edit?

Furry–I've noticed that editing time glitch as well.

How are things in Australia? I was stationed at Woomera, South Australia during my Air Force days in mid-80s and I fell in love with Australia. Even though I was in the outback I loved my two years there.

Wacky! My guess is that it has to do with the difference between how WordPress (our blog CMS) handled comments and the particular editing plug-in (WP plug-in) handles them. We'll continue to explore.
