Pixarra’s TwistedBrush is known for its easy to use real artist tools. TwistedBrush is currently at version 8.1 and includes more than 1000 brushes that mimic real artist media, over 100 image filters, extensive color palettes and more than 200 brush effects. TwistedBrush since it’s inception has included traditional artist tools, such as oils, acrylics, pastels, watercolors, airbrushes, pencils, charcoal, pens, chalk, markers and oil pastels. Under the covers is a high performance 64 bit brush engine that achieves smooth blends and responsive brush strokes. In addition to the above features and variety of brushes, traditional style masks, paper textures, scripting, tracing paper, photo cloning and gradients are some of the other features present.
Pixarra was founded with the idea of giving high quality software tools to the artist that are easy and fun to use. Over the years artist software has become more and more complex and has lost much of the creative freedom of laying color down on the paper or canvas. It is our goal to offer tools that give artists the tools to capture ideas quickly without spending hours or days studying a reference manual. Stated another way our motto is “Simplicity Without Sacrifice.” TwistedBrush is our flagship product that delivers on this idea.
