Koingo's Font Pilot 2.1 Released
Koingo Software just released Font Pilot 2.1 which includes over 15 new features, alongside many bug fixes and enhancements. One of the most notable changes in this version is UNIVERSAL font compatibility. Font Pilot can now properly read and display information on ALL the fonts that your system can use. We’ve also vastly improved the font rendering engine, so it’s easier than ever to preview fonts before you install them!
We bet the word UNIVERSAL caught your attention there, and you were thinking Universal Binaries. Well, not yet, but we’re going to be releasing all of our applications as Universal Binaries something throughout 2006. Regardless, they have all been tested and work perfectly fine under Rosettea in the meantime.
Font Pilot, for those of you who aren’t familiar with it, is a much more powerful replacement for Apple’s Font Book. Activate, install, or deactivate
fonts, folders of fonts, or uninstalled font files. View font metrics, copyright information, author notes, character maps, key combinations and much more for every font in your library! Even have Font Pilot rename your fonts based on their name viewable within programs.
Font Pilot has a free 15-day shareware trial, which is downloadable from our web site. It requires at least Mac OS X 10.2 to run, and may be purchased after 15 days for only US$15.95.
