QX7 and Printing Problems
Those of us who are long-time users of InDesign have endured years of insinuations on user forums that InDesign documents or the PDF files created from them won’t print properly. So it’s with some amusement that I post the instructions given to Quark users on the Web site of Modern Postcard:
“*Quark 7.0 Note:
“We are currently in the process of testing the newly released version of Quark 7.0. With all the new features available, we want to ensure your files will not have any printing problems with our current software and workflow.
“If you are using Quark 7.0 please use an earlier version of Quark if available, save your files as an earlier version (6.5 or below) or export a PDF using our recommended settings.
“Please be aware that any PDF using the new Quark 7.0 features may cause unwanted issues and you will be contacted accordingly. Thank you as we complete the testing process.”
