GretagMacbeth Introduces New Professional Version Color iQC

GretagMacbeth today announced the release of professional version Color iQC software, an extension of their current Color iQC product line. Color iQC Professional is the first color quality control software to fully integrate electronic color communication and do so at a fraction of the cost of stand-alone simulation software.  The professional version electronic color communication module includes an enhanced sample simulator that displays how a color will look with texture applied.
The announcement was made by Richard Knapp, product manager, color and appearance business unit.  ”We expanded the sample simulation capability for two reasons:

  1. to help our customers comply with electronic color communication directives; and
  2. to offer an easier to use, lower cost alternative to expensive stand-alone simulators.”

Knapp explains that more color specifiers and brand managers are requiring suppliers to submit samples electronically for color approval.   “Color iQC Professional provides the capability within the same software already used to control color, so it saves time and simplifies the process.”
The software is being marketed to supplier/manufacturers to the automotive, appliance, consumer and business electronics, textile and apparel, and related coatings and plastics markets.
