Good morning. Hope someone can help me.

I’m layouting a book and I’m almost done. The book came already layouted in english and I’m re-doing the layout but in french and some subtle changes from the original version.

So far I’m on the index and I’m having a bit of trouble here. I’m trying to avoid that the line break invades the page number space as you can see in this little example I’m trying to recreate:

      Traits de votre ville d?origine
      292
      Traits et coches pendant
      le tour des joueurs 85
      Traits pendant le tour du
      MJ (Les) 80
      Transmission de Messages
      (La) 178
      Travail en Équipe 106

As you can see ‘d’origine’ in the first item; ‘du’ in the third item and ‘messages’ invades the page number space. I don’t want that without artificially breaking the line via keyboard or making two text blocks, one for the text and other one for the numbering column. Any ideas? I can’t post screenshots to explain my issue more clearly.

      Any help appreciated in advance.

You would probably need to use non-breaking spaces or use the No Break character formatting. You can change the type of space between the index entry and the number for example (that is one of the options when you are creating an index).
