Linking a Contact Sheet

I am making PDFs destined for the iPad and the back section of all the docs is a spread of thumbnails that hyperlink to the relevant pages, essential a contact sheet.

At the moment, when the PM decides to move or delete pages, I have to delete the relevant thumbnails and shuffle all the picture boxes about.

Is there a way anyone can think of to either:

      A) have the thumbnails update dynamically
      B) set up the contact sheet so that if I delete one box the other boxes shuffle automatically into position, similar to linked text boxes

The thumbnails are at the moment a picture box with a jpg of the page inside, set to hyperlink to an anchor on the actual page, with a floating text frame on top giving the name of the page. It’s all a bit clunky and I’d like to streamline it a bit.

      Thanks

The only good way to make images “reflow” is to anchor them, such as in this tip:

Wait a minute, how did you get the gaps in between the pictures without using a tab? If you use the inline or custom positions with the Anchored Object settings then they will stay locked in place when you delete one… wont they?

I’m not sure how I did that; perhaps I just added an em space between each one? Or set the Text Wrap to something a bit bigger?
