Representatives from Quark Inc. are excited to announce their participation at this year’s Macworld Expo January 9–12, 2007. Macworld Expo is the trade show to discover new technology and join in hands-on demonstrations of the most innovative products before they hit the marketplace – and Quark has a few tricks up its sleeve.
“It will be exciting to be at the show for the first time and have a chance to meet with customers, partners, and the media,” said Ray Schiavone, president and CEO at Quark. “Macworld will be a great way to introduce myself and the new Quark to the Mac audience.”
Schiavone will be attending this year’s expo to meet with customers and partners. In addition, Schiavone will be meeting with members of the press on January 9, 2007, in the press briefing room at 3:00 pm.
Quark XTensions partners Extensis, GLUON, Markzware, and OnOne Software will also attend the expo. Representatives from these companies will join Quark in booth 2102 to demonstrate their products and technologies. Theater presentations will include the following events:
- What’s new in QuarkXPress 7
- All in one: Designing for print, Web, and Macromedia Flash (SWF) with QuarkXPress 7
- Deep dive: Quark Interactive Designer
- QuarkXPress 7 Web tools: Go beyond print
Jay Nelson, editor and publisher of Design Tools Monthly ( www.design-tools.com ), will present a user conference session on the new collaboration features in QuarkXPress 7 from 11:00 a.m.–12:15 p.m. January 10. The session will focus on how users can make the most of the Composition Zones capabilities and shared layouts. Nelson also will present the following sessions at the Macworld expo:
- QuarkXPress 7 “Birds of a Feather” session: Craig Lanning from Quark will answer any questions users have about QuarkXPress 7. This session is free to all Macworld Expo attendees.
- January 10, 6:00–7:30 pm, room 303
- QuarkXPress 7 Tips & Tricks: This session, hosted by Quark partner lynda.com will be in booth 716 at the following presentation times:
- January 10, 4:15-4:45 p.m.
- January 11, 2:00-2:30 p.m.
- January 12, 2:00-2:30 p.m.
