Reply To: Jump to Cursor (or selection)

Ah! Now I get it. This is a great question, and it reminded me that there is a secret, hidden feature that does what you want: “Fit Selection in Window.” I believe it only works with a keyboard shortcut, which is by default Command-Option-= (equal sign). However, on the Mac, that shortcut may zoom in to fill your screen (it does for me), which is annoying. So I added my own custom keyboard shortcut (I’ll add a link below for how to do that). You can find this feature in the Product Area –> Views, Navigation… just scroll down to find Fit Selection in Window.
So, once you have a shortcut that works, you can type it and InDesign will zoom in on whatever is selected… no matter what page you’re on.
