Pasting vector objects in INDD23 causes text wrap — and makes me mad!

There is one strange thin happening with my Indd23 version:
Whenever I paste vectors that I have copied from AI, there is a text wrap around every single object (same with pasting from XD).
I’ve done everything imaginable to get rid of this but it keeps wrapping on.
First this of course was to deactivate text wrap with nothing opened — even with no doc at all opened.
I made “none” the default Object Style. That works, but pasting produces a + behind none (text wrap disappears after alt-klick in none but I want to get rid of this behaviour without having to click anything.

      It m a k e s me m a d !
      Is there help out there?

      Best,
      Chris

I can’t replicate that behavior, but I do see that if I have an object style that includes text wrap chosen before I paste from Illustrator, the pasted object inherits the text wrap. But if I select None, or the other default object styles before pasting, there’s no text wrap, as expected.

Could you try creating a new object style that does nothing but apply NO text wrap, have that selected as the default, and then try pasting from AI/XD?

      Hi Mike,
sounds like a good Idea, but doesn’t work:
I can make this new Objectstyle the default style, but as soon as I paste anything from outside, the pasted object is formated as “None” — with the text wrap applied.

I also deleted all prefs, without success.

I am close to giving up …

There is something weird happening here, for sure. I don’t know if it’s new or if it’s been in ID for a long time, but yeah: When I paste a vector path from AI to ID, it comes over with some local formatting. That’s pretty annoying.

When I do it, it doesn’t have text wrap, but I’m getting some other formatting (such as Frame Fitting Options.

Yes, clicking “clear overrides” clears it up.
