In a book, generally the chapter pages have different master page, e.g. lacking some or all elements of folio.
Now, I know one way of doing it is to just manually assign “empty” master pages to these pages. Of course, the problem is that if pagination changes after that, you’re screwed :D
I learned a much better way (from a Nigel French tutorial) that uses paper-colored paragraph rules in the chapter title/number paragraph style to “hide” the folio. for this, your chapter title/number needs to be in a fixed position (using Keep Options).
This works fine until you want your chapter page to start in an odd/even page. What happens here is that sometimes you get a completely blank page before your chapter page, which also needs to have that empty master page. I’m looking for a way of automating this last step or generally any better way of dealing with this whole chapter-page-related master page assignment!
      Thank you very much.
