In addition to Marc’s questions, here are a few more that might help diagnose the problem:

1. Is the file on a server?
2. Is there a specific action you are doing each time the file crashes or is it crashing during different actions?
3. Do you have “Preflight Document” turned on?
4. Are you experiencing this behavior with other files or just this file?
5. Have you saved any of the InDesign crash logs?
