AIGA turned 100 years old in 2014 and many institutions and publications are celebrating along with this iconic design association. One institution celebrating the centennial is the Denver Art Museum (DAM). The “Drawn to Action: Posters from the AIGA Design Archives” installation showcases over 30 posters from the museum’s own AIGA collection. The posters on exhibit embody the spirit of a poster’s purpose: to spur into action. Whether the message revolves around the environment, peace, politics, racism, or simply product advertisement, the ubiquitous poster gives voice to a group or a cause in a simple, pure form of freedom of expression. “Drawn to Action” at the DAM runs through January 18, 2015.
