Instantly Convert Old 35mm SLR Cameras into Digital Cameras with the DigiPod
If you love photography and you’re old enough to actually remember a time before the Simpsons was on TV, you probably have some old analog SLR cameras stored away in some closet, attic, basement, etc. And no matter how much you loved that old gear and can’t bring yourself to part with it, you probably aren’t expecting to ever use it again.
Well one inventor from the UK is working on a device that will let you dust off those old SLRs and convert them to digital with no more effort than putting a roll of film inside.
The inventor’s name is James Jackson, and the invention is called the DigiPod. It’s currently the subject of a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo.com that runs until September 22, 2013, with the goal of raising £199,000.

The DigiPod fits exactly in the space occupied by a film roll, and will include a CMOS sensor and card slot.

If the campaign is funded, estimated delivery of the DigiPod is February 2014. The first 1000 backers to pledge £199 will get a special gold or silver finish DigiPod.
