Still in beta but available now from Google’s Labs, the Google Font API and the Google Font Directory give you the tools you need to style HTML text with 18 typefaces. To apply one of these fonts to text, you add a stylesheet link to your web page, then use the font in a CSS style. The fonts remain on Google servers.
Because the fonts are open source, they’re free to use in any website, from .com to .org.
