Get a Sneak Peek at New Photoshop Technologies
As part of this year’s Photoshop World keynote, Adobe’s Russell Brown demonstrated “experimental technology” from Adobe Labs.
In the first part of the demo, Russell showed off new ways to paint in Photoshop. He dragged out paints as if they were wet and could blend with each other. He also showed how, using Wacom’s Art Pen and new prototype brushes, you can affect the paint as if it and the brush were three-dimensional.
Russell went on to show new technologies for warping an image that uses control points to freeze and distort a mesh. If you’ve ever wanted to see Scott Kelby do the YMCA dance, now’s your chance.

Pay no attention to Russell’s football references — they were prompted by the football-themed skit that began the keynote.
