Experience ADIM at MAX
In the past, Adobe’s MAX conferences have been overwhelmingly aimed at people on the coding side of the Web/mobile divide. In an attempt to balance the scales a bit, this November’s MAX in San Francisco will include ADIM@MAX.
The Art Directors Invitational Master Class (or ADIM) is a phenomenon that normally happens only once a year. ADIM 2008 was this spring, but mastermind Russell Brown is making an exception and staging another two-day ADIM that overlaps with MAX. Every ADIM has a theme, and this theme’s a winner: The Jurassic Graphic Safari.

Here’s the scoop from the ADIM@MAX site:
Day 1 – Sunday, November 16, 9am–10pm
Day 2 – Monday, November 17, 8:00am–5pm
This hands-on instructional course that brings top art directors, designers, illustrators, and photographers together to learn advanced tips and techniques using Adobe products. You will learn from Russell Brown, Sandee Cohen, Mordy Golding, and some of the best designers and instructors in the industry. All classes are hosted on Mac computers running the latest Mac OS software. The limited class size for ADIM@MAX offers participants an intimate and inspiring environment in which to get early instruction on new applications from industry experts, ask questions, and network with others in their field. ADIM is like no other design event on the planet. It is designed to motivate and inspire. It’s an event that promotes zany behavior and rewards participants for wearing crazy theme-based costumes.
