Zengobi Announces Curio 4
Zengobi today announced the availability of Curio 4, a major upgrade of their award-winning brainstorming and project management application for Mac OS X 10.4 and above. Curio 4 features integrated mind mapping, a Snippets and print-to-Curio service for gathering items outside of Curio, an updated customizable interface, and project management features such as assigning resources, start/due dates, durations, priorities, and completion percentages to figure tasks. Curio 4 also includes improved searching through its new advanced search shelf and Flashlight file finder, and enhanced inter-application capabilities with its support for embedded messages from Mail, and OPML import and export to and from lists and mind maps. Curio is available in several editions including Professional (US$149, US$69 academia), Home (US$99), and K-12 (US$69 academia).
The addition of mind mapping makes Curio 4 a complete brainstorming solution. Users can not only place text, images, movies, web links, and document assets, anywhere on Curio’s idea spaces, but they can also add those items to hierarchical lists and, now, mind maps, as well. Mind mapping is a wonderful technique for discovering connections between words and ideas, and encourages an easy brainstorming approach starting with just one idea. As your mind map grows, you can quickly visualize how seemingly disparate concepts are interrelated. And, if your mind map or hierarchical list contains completion percentages or start/due date information, then that information will "bubble up" to the parent figures for easy task tracking.
Curio is the premier brainstorming and project management application designed to promote visual thinking. Using Curio’s innovative freeform interface and tools, you can intuitively gather, associate, and recall your ideas, while easily managing all the notes and documents associated with your project.
