Photoshop How-To: Making a DVD Menu

With DVD recorders becoming faster and more affordable, more creative professionals are using DVD technology to create interactive portfolios for work and personal videos for home. Along with many other companies, Adobe recognized this trend and created Encore DVD, a Windows design and production environment for DVDs.
But where Adobe’s efforts differ from competitive products is Encore DVD’s tight integration with other Adobe products, especially Photoshop and After Effects. The results is that if you can create menu elements in the comfortable confines of Photoshop and Encore will turn them into the interactive elements your creative vision desires.

In this tutorial from the folks at Adobe, you’ll see how to make buttons and menus in Photoshop that can then be used in Encore DVD. Don’t have Encore DVD? You’ll still pick up solid tips about good DVD-menu creation.
