      hi

when you import a word file via ‘place’ it seems that only the first word file will flow in the primary text box that I created when I made the file but if I try to import another one let’s say to page 7 then it won’t flow in the primary text box (even when I hold down the shift key that then it will flow but it makes its own text boxes and does not use the primary text boxes of the previous text and I want that all the text should be in one text box) can someone help me with this?

If you have multiple word docs, you can place the first one, as you mentioned. Then you would need to add a new blank page to the end of the document. Then you should be able to place the next word doc onto the new page. It will place it there as the beginning of a new story.

      Thanks

But will it continue in the same primary text box as the text before?

Tried the above but the issue is that if I my file has a primary text box with 2 columns then when I bring in the second word file it flows only to a single column and the footnotes don’t span the columns
