Select text in a text frame, and a different frame is selected

      This has been happening off and on for months now when working with a text frame in InDesign CC. I will select some text in a text frame, and a different text frame in the layout will be selected. The handles of the text frame I am editing AND of the different text frame are solid, not white. I have checked, and these frames are not linked. I am using InDesign CC 14.03 on an iMac in OS High Sierra 10.13.6. I can edit the text in the text frame like I wish to, but all the while, the other text frame is still selected with solid handles. It’s distracting and baffling.

      Wow. Yes, baffling. All documents (including new docs) or just some? Did you try rebuilding your preferences?
