Placed images not visible

      I use the newest version of Indesign. When I place an image, I used to was able to drag a frame and then the image was placed in that frame.

      That doesn’t happen anymore for some reason. When I use ctrl+D I can select an image. Then I drag a frame. After that I can see the frame but no image. I have to use right click and make the image fit the frame to make it visible.

      This issue isn’t there in a new document.

      Where to look to make this behavior go away?

      Does this help: deselect everything, then choose Object > Fitting > Clear Frame Fitting Options. Then try placing an image again.

      Yes! This solved it. Thanks!

      Do you also have a solution for the issue that Indesign is not using the whole screen when the program opens? Just like a browser or Word does when I start it. I always have to do that manually.
