GIF Files Are Photoshop CS5 Security Risk
Adobe’s John Nack has reported on his blog that it’s possible for hackers to crash Photoshop CS5 (and only CS5) with malicious code hidden in GIF files. To prevent this, Adobe recommends that you first update to the most recent version of Photoshop CS5. Go to the Help > Updates menu and apply all of the updates listed under Adobe Photoshop CS5 in the Adobe Application Manager.
Then, download and install the update appropriate for your operating system from the company’s website:
• Mac
• Win64
• Win32
