As I’m doing a GREP search for acronyms in a 28-page document, InDesign is skipping pages 2-25. I’ve tried changing my search from [ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ][ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ] to \u\u but that doesn’t get me any different results.
If I physically click into page 3, then the GREP search works in pages 3-25 but skips pages 1-2 and 26-28. I’ve tried cutting and pasting the text section by section into a clean template, with no luck. I also tried saving the document as a .idml file, hoping that would fix any bugs that might lurking behind the scenes, but that didn’t work either.
The writer reported that he was having some issues with commands being delayed, e.g., when he added a period, it wouldn’t show up immediately. I don’t know if that’s related to this problem or not.
I’m about to print to PDF, export to Word, copy all the text, paste it back into my InDesign template, and reformat everything…but I’m hoping someone here will be able to provide me with a less laborious solution first!
