Corel PHOTO-PAINT 9 is a high-end and yet affordable (ESP $340) image processor containing a rich depth and variety of tools. Of particular note is the Corel Scan feature, which automates many of the “post-scan tweakings” like removing dust and scratches. In addition, as reviewer Vincent Draper points out, “the difference with this bitmap-based PHOTO-PAINT compared to the previous ones is that it now has an interface which can enable you to download your pictures from over 120 digital cameras.” Read Draper’s full review.
