Indesign endnotes in long document

      hi, how do you get endnotes to start over at a new chapter. How to mark article?

      You have to split the stories in the book (yes complete nightmare), one story per chapter!

      Thank you, tested several variants but did not succeed.
      Why does it start restarting each article in options for end comments?

      I’m not sure if I 100% understand what you are saying. If you want the endnotes to restart at each chapter, then each chapter needs to be it’s own InDesign story which requires breaking the story at chapter beginnings. Personally I hate this workflow and find working with endnotes very difficult as a result.

      … With footnote you can insert paragraph marking and get the numbering to start over.
      In Text options for final comments, there is a choice “restart at each article” that is what gives me thought
