Parent child relationship in alternate layout

      So I’m using an alternate layout where there is a parent/child relationship between the 1st layout text and the alternate. But I deleted one item on the alt layout that I should not have. So how do I get it there and still have it link to the parent layout? Shazaam I thought use that content conveyor that has a link feature that you never utilize! NO. That doesn’t link using the parent/child relationship. I want linking so any updates on the parent document will be modified and just need to be accepted on the alt layout. Anyone know how to do this once I’ve already deleted an item from the child document that shouldn’t have been?
