I have it set in InD prefs > File Handling > “Always save preview images with documents” checked, Pages: First 2 pages, Preview Size: Medium 256×256. Is there somewhere else in the Mac OS prefs (Mojave) that I have to set this? Mac Forums have yielded no clear answer to this. InDesign seems to be the ONLY doc type that is not generating preview icons for finder – or rather – is only generating the generic icon. Absolutely every other document type that I create has preview icons (PhotoShop, Illustrator, BBEdit, etc), and I assume this is handled at the OS level, but InDesign is not handing off its preference settings to the OS…For clarity, if I use Adobe Bridge to preview an InD doc, the preview is appearing there as expected. So this may point to the OS as the suspect. Anyone else encountering this / have a workaround?
