The PageZephyr desktop search engine helps users of Adobe InDesign, QuarkXPress and Microsoft Publisher to convert print documents for publishing to the internet. PageZephyr 2.11 adds full support for Adobe InDesign CS5, and the following features to this latest version, which has the ability to extract and export text to a WordPress Blog, Scribd account, Google Docs account, and Box.net accounts.
PageZephyr desktop search makes it easy for printing and publishing companies to manage print content in Adobe InDesign and other native file formats and to distribute that content to the internet. This search engine helps content creators gain control of the text within these files.
Stand-Alone Applications
As a stand-alone desktop application, PageZephyr is unique and can serve several markets. Those markets include advertising, marketing, printing, publishing, e-discovery, research, intelligence and corporate branding.
PageZephyr not only searches print content in documents and archives within Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Publisher and QuarkXPress, it extracts the content as well. PageZephyr is useful for finding content within specific areas of interest across these different file types. PageZephyr is essentially a semi-automatic content creator, providing authors the ability to merge, edit, and combine content for a specific topic, almost instantaneously. This search engine can find specific content in multiple documents in different formats and can highlight the specific search criteria, as well. The discovered text can also be customized by editing font styles, size, colors, etc., to optimize content for posting to a number of output options.
PageZephyr processes Adobe InDesign (.indd) and Quark (.qxd) files authored on Macintosh or Windows computers and Microsoft Publisher (.pub) files authored on a Windows machine. These DTP applications need not be loaded or installed in order for PageZephyr to function. In addition, PageZephyr enables users to display text in found files with the option to maintain font, size and color. PageZephyr empowers users to open, edit and convert content to open formats such as text (.txt) or rich text format (.rtf ), and publish to the web, such as a WordPress blog.
