Hi, I am working with a client to produce a series of public material that is currently in a print and fixed PDF format, however, the UX on this approach is poor. I am exploring options to convert to a responsive mobile format with a reflowable ePub, but not getting the results I had hoped. If I go to publish online, what format is best to make it responsive? Can I avoid going to publish online?
      Kindly, J.

Unfortunately, Publish Online is not responsive at this time. It is only designed to recreate your InDesign pages.

There are some other tools for getting HTML out of InDesign, such as in5. You can use InDesign’s liquid layout features with in5, so it’s semi-responsive, but it’s not really the same thing.

Thanks for the quick response David.

I just downloaded in5, agreed, it’s not really the same thing, some interesting features that I might be able to incorporate in other projects. Thanks for sharing!
I think I’m going to have to repurpose my project in HTML to have true responsive behaviour.
