Trouble Using Creative Cloud file sharing for proofing

I watched Anne-Marie’s Lynda.com video “319 Use Creative Cloud to share InDesign files” and am trying to implement this method for online proofing with clients.

I can view and share a link to my InDesign file in my CC folder as the video describes, but the results are less than ideal:

The main problem I am having is that when I view the file in my browser, none of the fonts are displaying correctly (I have tried Chrome and Firefox). The other problem is that there is no zoom function so the type is mostly unreadable.

The video was originally posted to Lynda.com in Dec. 2017, so I’m wondering if this functionality has changed/broken since then. Anyone else use this method successfully?

      Thanks,
      Amanda

Hi Amanda, yes Adobe has been mucking around with CC Files since about April of this year. And yes, it looks like there is no Zoom function, though I don’t remember if there ever was. I may have been using my browser’s zoom function (Command-+) in the video, I don’t recall. I saw a tech support person from Adobe suggest users just download the file … not much help.

They also removed the Versions feature. They’ve said we’ll be getting a much-improved CC Files and Libraries, but haven’t seen anything yet.

I’ve not had the problem with fonts. Here’s a file I’m sharing, can you see the fonts okay?

Hi Anne-Marie, I don’t think I’m seeing your fonts. I have zoomed in with the browser (Chrome). Here’s what I see:

Hopefully they finish the improvements soon!

      Thanks!

Yes, those are the fonts that I used.
