Hello – apologies if this thread is somewhere else but couldn’t find anything. I am creating a document that will finally be exported as a fixed layout epub from the InDesign v.13.1. I would like readers to be able to download further info PDFs from clickable buttons throughout the document. I plan to have the PDFs hidden on our website so the click should take them straight to a particular download. Any ideas how best to do this? Not sure if a button or just text with a hyperlink is the best way to go? not sure which action to select etc…

      Thanks in advance
      Donna

I’ve done this with hyperlink text. I’m uncertain what advantage a button offers. I’m assuming the question re “action” refers to buttons as the text alternative only requires familiarity with the hyperlinks panel.

Hi Paul – Thanks for your reply. Was just thinking of using a button as I wanted to make the call to action a little more obvious rather than just underlined text and I wanted to animate it. I think I’ve since worked out how to do it by making my graphic a button and choosing ‘go to URL’ as the action. Seems obvious now I know!

      thanks for your hrlp
