24 Hours of Photoshop
How much do you like Photoshop? Enough to live and breathe it for an entire 24 hours? You’ll get your chance in February 2012, when the first “24 Hour Photoshop” event takes place.
At its core, 24 Hour Photoshop is a series of live webinars (online seminars). But the scale of it sounds impressive. Conference organizers Mogo Media say there will be more than 100 hours of Photoshop training from some big names in the business. While the speaker list may not be final yet — different pages of the website cite different people — here are the names that caught my eye:
Stephen M. Burns
Steve Caplin
Chris Converse
Jim DiVitale
Katrin Eismann
Jeff Foster
David Harradine
Mohammad Jogie
Peter Krogh
Claudia McCue
Mike McHugh
Ted LoCascio
Chris Orwig
Justin Seeley
M Scott Sheppard
ichael Stoddart
Derrick Story
Eddie Tapp
Chris Tarantino
Frederick Van Johnson
Lee Varis
Brian Wood
There are three pricing tiers. You can attend certain live classes for free, though you must register for them in advance. For $99, you can watch any of the webinars live. However, even if you want to name your first-born “Photoshop,” it’s physically impossible to watch all 100 hours of the event in 24 hours. That’s why there’s also a $599 tier that lets you stream video of the training after the event, as well as watch it live. The benefit of real-time viewing at any of the pricing tiers is that you’ll be able to ask the instructors questions.
24 Hour Photoshop is open to anyone in the world. Because of time zones, that makes it a little tricky to say exactly what day and time it will begin. For the Eastern time zone, it begins at 5 PM on February 10. Check the schedule page to see how that translates to where you live.
