This question has been asked many times and answered by Anne-Marie Conception:

In my lynda.com video title on Creating Fixed Layout EPUBs with InDesign CC, I show how to embed videos as well as link to ones you host yourself.

    https://www.lynda.com/InDesign-tutorials/Creating-Fixed-Layout-EPUBs-InDesign-CC/169624-2.html

To embed videos, you need to convert them to h.264 encoding, then use the Media panel to bring them in and add a poster image. Be sure you choose EPUB 3 when you export. This works for both reflowable and fixed-layout epubs.
The ereader device you use has its own programming to “go full screen.” It’s not something you can include in the code. Typically, though, they’ll go full screen as soon as you start to play it.
    Hope that helps!

in reply to: Can Embed codes be added to FXL document? #85225

    Hi Jennifer,
Here is some information I received today from a ID professional, I have yet to give it a try, I hope it works.:-)

For FXL, I think the short answer is that it does work. I’ve taken the embed code from one of my Vimeo videos and then in InDesign chose Object > Insert HTML. This generates a preview of the video on the page and now you can export that file as an FXL. I do get an error during export, but when I open it in iBooks and ADE without a problem but I have to tell you that it doesn’t validate agains the IDPF. I’ve attached the sample that I created. Here’s an article that I found from Liz Castro about this topic but I didn’t have time to try it out. https://bit.ly/1sPQHpz
