MemberHit shift when you place the text, you will see the cursor change to a meandering S shape with an arrow on the end, when you click the text will flow creating a text box on all the pages it needs.

MemberAh compatability needs to be higher than 1.6, thats why!!
Now I know.

MemberHow about instead of using a snippet, you set the white text in Illustrator and make it white overprinting, it will allow this without a work round, then import the .ai file into your Indesign file.

MemberI don't think its possible to set “Paper” or white text to overprint.Or am I missing something?
Use non-printing in attributes to stop it showing up.

MemberAddendum to my last post:
Unless someone has a script that can atomate this process.
:) Good work Jongware.
I do recommend doing it by hand though it'll give you a nice exercise in manipulating type

MemberAre you asking how ID will do this for you?
It won't, you will need to adjust the sizes yourself, it's called setting type.

MemberIt may not be practical in your case but I have done this in the past by using one text box and an indent on the body text, no extracting heads required.

MemberA quick answer to your question is no.
Are you working in CMYK or RGB?
The blending modes are highly affected by the colour model you are working in, and it doesn't work the same way as in photoshop, and if you are producing print material from Indesign and working in 4 colour then it won't work the way you are hoping. The Blending modes are more akin to Illustrator than Photoshop.

MemberI have always worked of the premise that you shouldn't enlarge more than 20%. And I think that as long as you don't go any lower than 200 dpi you should be alright, check it though, run it out and check.

MemberHow about making a pdf with book and then seperating that pdf file in Acrobat?
Tim Hughes
MemberA hyphen or even multiples of hyphens are different to an en or em dash, so that may be where you are going wrong.

MemberHi David,
It's not Asian and the typeface is Gotham. Perhaps it is the latter. It did surprise me.
And really, who doesn't have Gotham these days? :)
Cheers

MemberI read my first reply back sorry if it sounded a bit short! Not my intention at all, during the day I am busy so tend to be too brief. :)

MemberI would send the colour parts and the black and white parts separately, I've got a pretty high end printer here and that will not switch from output mode during one print job. If the job is sent in colour it all colour and if its sent as greyscale it will all be that.
Hope this is some help.

MemberIt is entirely capable of exporting any kind of pdf you tell it to. Don't blame the tools. Do you imagine that an entire industry would be using a product that doesn't work?
Look at the printer driver and what kind of pdf you are exporting, the colour set up of the text, and to be honest from your description I don't really understand fully what the problem you are encountering is.
