MemberJust wondering if there is an easy way to combine scripts. I will be running this one and the FindChangeByList script on many occasions. Looking at the structure of the script it looks like I can't just copy this one in to the find change script and have it work.
Just wondering if there was a way to combine these into one super mega script.

MemberWOW! all I can say is WOW. It works great. Takes a bit of time to chug through things but I imagine it is doing quite a bit of work to come out with EXACTALLY WHAT I WANTED! Thanks again Jong.

MemberWow… Yeah that works amazingly well and includes all pages. I preferred being able to thread selected frames but my work around to this is just to put the selected frames on their own layer, turn all other layer visibility off, and then run the script. Thank you much Harbs.

MemberI agree… if you cut the word then hit ESC then paste it without creating a frame InDesign already puts the word in a seperate non-threaded frame. I guess the down side is you have to Copy and Paste each word. I just don't see where a script would be need to do this. Maybe I just don't understand the situation.

MemberWhew… It is going to take a bit of work but I think it is the next logical step in my professional development. The script works great. One word of caution to anyone who may use this script in the future.
the latest version will only work if you have text in all the frames you are linking. I have saved this version out as a seperate file.
If you are making a layout and want to select all the frames on a page to link to eachother before you enter text use the script from Jongware's 5:35am post.
now all we need is a name… hahaha

Memberawww man… Yeah I figured there wasn't a way. The replacing the return trick is pretty nice…. not as nice as a quick apply but not bad. I am getting really excited about ID CS5… CS4's features were kept under wraps for so long it almost seemed like nothing was going to be added. That wasn't the truth and I was jumping up and down when I heard about Grep styles, conditional text, and smart guides. I dont know what big feautes I would add now but the small things like this quick apply and form creation would be nice. :)

MemberWhen I test it with empty new frames it seems to work fine… but just not on my existing text. Hmm not sure. I could send you my text boxes if you want to try and debug. I can't really figure it out.
